Apple has always tried to close the doors to jailbreak in their iOS devices, but have been unsuccessful to do so. But this time, they might hit home. 9to5mac reports us that Apple has been working on a strategy or security mechanism called as “rootless”, which the company believes will make it incredibly difficult if not impossible for a jailbreak to be achieved. Rooting is something we typically associate with Android, but jailbreaking is essentially the precondition to gain root access on an iPhone or iPad. They are essentially the same thing.

“Rootless” makes certain changes in kernel level, which is the central module of the OS. This is a good thing, because it will improve the overall security of the device, but makes jailbreaking a thing of the past.

Needless to say, what seems or sound impossible is not always impossible, as we have seem many times in the past.
